Read the text, then answer: « Am Hedi’s Garden »

Am Hedi is our old neighbour in Kairouan. He lives alone in a small house with a big garden. Last winter, he broke his leg and he couldn’t walk for two months. His garden became dirty and full of dry leaves.

One Saturday, my friends and I decided to help him. Selim brought a rake, Rania brought plastic bags and I carried a bucket of water. We cleaned up the garden, watered the lemon trees and fed his old cat, Mimi. Rania’s mother cooked couscous for him.

When Am Hedi saw his clean garden, he smiled and said, ‘You are the kindest children in the street!’ Now we visit him every Saturday. He tells us stories about the old city, and he teaches us how to plant flowers. We learned that sharing is caring.

A model paragraph to compare with (after writing mine)

Last Wednesday afternoon, my class decided to take care of our school. Our teacher, Mr Fathi, and some parents helped us. First, we collected the papers and plastic bottles in the playground. Then the girls mopped the classroom floor and the boys cleaned the windows and the blackboard. After that, we planted flowers near the gate and painted the old bench green. At the end of the day, our school was clean and beautiful. We promised to keep it tidy every day.

One good example among many: compare, don’t copy.
